'the HIKARI mirror is a conceptual representation of how light and reflectivity can create space in built environments. Beauty and atmosphere can be created not just by the object itself, but by the pattern of shadows - the light and the darkness that it creates'

Dowel framed free standing leaning mirror that creates space by using the mirrored reflectivity to reflect space and create the feeling of openness in a room. At night the mirror turns into an atmospheric lighting source by using LED lighting from the floor up the wall from behind the mirror, which is now transparent glass. Using light on a transparent surface shows how using light can open up space and creates shadows for visual interest on a blank wall.
